NANCY MIZE, Ph.D., is the Principal of Mize Consulting, and the Personalized Medicine expert at Pacific BioDevelopment Consulting. Her expertise includes early stage drug development planning and implementation through first in human clinical studies. Dr. Mize writes drug development plans, clinical protocols, and implements identification and validation of biomarkers to accelerate clinical trials. She has authored sections for five INDs and one NDA submission in the eCTD format, and has been an FDA meeting participant. She works with early stage entrepreneurs to bring products to market that address significant unmet clinical needs and to successfully navigate potential investors.

She has been featured in National Public Radio's BIOTECH NATION, and Genome Technology magazine, and she has published over 60 articles, book chapters and patents and given over 30 national and international invited lectures. She currently serves on the advisory boards of Astia, and selected startup biotechnology companies.

Dr. Mize has held various management positions at Alza Corporation (J&J), Hyseq (Nuvelo), and a postdoc at Genentech. She received her PhD from UCSF, BS from UC Berkeley, and postdoctoral studies at the European Molecular Biology Laboratory (EMBL), and Genentech.
